Lehi Court System Overview

Lehi has two courts that handle different types of cases. The Lehi City Justice Court sits at 154 North Center, Lehi, UT 84043. It handles matters within Lehi city limits. The Fourth District Court in Provo handles larger cases for all of Utah County, including Lehi.

The Lehi City Justice Court is a court not of record. That means it does not record proceedings the same way a district court does. If you lose a case in justice court and want to appeal, the appeal goes to the district court as a brand-new trial. The justice court handles Class B and C misdemeanors, traffic violations, city ordinance violations, and small claims disputes up to $11,000.

Felony charges, civil disputes above $11,000, divorce, custody, and probate all go to the Fourth District Court at 125 N. 100 West in Provo. That court can be reached at (801) 429-1000. You can look up Lehi cases from both courts using the XChange system at utcourts.gov/en/courtrecords.html.

Note: MyCase is only available to named parties in active cases and does not give access to records outside your own case file.

Lehi Arrest and Police Records

Lehi arrest records come from a few different sources depending on who made the arrest and what type of case it became. The Lehi Police Department keeps local arrest records for incidents within Lehi city limits. The Utah County Sheriff's Office covers county-level arrests and maintains records for unincorporated areas near Lehi.

For a full criminal history on a person, the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification maintains statewide records. You can request a BCI background check for $20 at bci.utah.gov. BCI checks cover arrests and court dispositions from across Utah, not just Lehi. This is the most complete source for criminal history information in the state.

Court records from Lehi criminal cases are public once a case is filed. You can search them through XChange. Some early-stage records, like police reports, are separate from court records and must be requested directly from the Lehi Police Department or through a GRAMA request.

GRAMA Records Requests in Lehi
